Come discover and discuss none of these topics at the 2nd edition of
the Extraterrestrial Zine Fair — Blasphemy in the church of AI
at Dokhuis, Rotterdam, From the 6th to 7th of February 2027.

With two days, expect more tables, more zinesters, more publications, ^{more art, more workshops, more talks, more chaos, more, more, more..}

AI sucks. If you don't think it sucks you'll probably not have much fun here.

If "blasphemy" means the act of greatly disrespecting or contemning something considered holy or sacred.
And, "being in the church of AI" means adhering to the cultist belief that Artificial Intelligence is really really awesome. Then, blasphemy in the church of AI could mean:
-> zines, workshops, talks that actively reject AI, or have a critical stance on it

In the autumn of 2025, a small group of zine enthusiasts were yearning for an alternative zine event in the city of Rotterdam. So, during their graduation year, they decided to come together and create one themselves! This is how the Xtraterrestrial zine fair came to be!
And in January 2026, the first edition, hosted at Dokhuis, Rotterdam, with about 40 stands of independent publishers, zinesters, talks and workshops, was a great success. And we're looking forward to the next iteration!

The Xtraterrestial zine fair is organized by a group of current and former XPUB students (The Experimental Publishing Master, PZI, Rotterdam).

As a group, we want the fair to challenge the terrestrial disposition towards hierarchical infrastructures in post-digital networks, and to facilitate critical discourse on technological developments within modern (digital) culture(s). In our individual and collective practices, we frequently experiment with the tools and infrastructures tied to the technologies we engage with—DIY-style—leading to collective ways of organizing, making, reflecting, ...

Dokhuis is wheelchair accessible, with a lift present for reaching all the floors of the fair. There's a privacy/breast-feeding/prayer room available as well. During the event, Dokhuis will sell drinks and a limited selection of food.
